The successful candidate will work closely with Mainframe COBOL developers and leverage the IBM Watson X for Code Conversion tool to modernize legacy systems. **Job Description:** + Collaborate with COBOL developers to understand legacy code and business logic. + Utilize IBM Watson X for Code Conversion to assist in transforming COBOL code into modern Java-based applications. + Analyze, refactor, and optimize converted code for performance and maintainability. + Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation of converted modules. + Document technical processes and provide knowledge transfer to team members. **Basic Qualifications:** + 10+ years of experience developing Java applications. + Proficiency in Java development (Java 8 or higher). + Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams. + Strong communication skills to effectively interact with non-Java/Mainframe teams. + Familiarity with Mainframe environments and COBOL concepts. + Experience or willingness to learn and work with IBM Watson X for Code Conversion or similar tools. + Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. **Desired Skills:** + Experience in legacy system modernization projects. + Exposure to DevOps practices and tools. + Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and middleware. **_About NTT DATA:_** Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles.
