We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years! **Your future duties and responsibilities:** We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to join our hybrid team in Reston. This role involves designing, developing, and testing complex system-level applications based on user requirements and design documents. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing enhancements, resolving defects, and mentoring junior developers. A strong understanding of market data systems and cloud technologies is essential. The position requires ownership of deliverables from start to finish in a fast-paced, agile environment. **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** • Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles • Advanced proficiency in Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot • Solid experience with Relational Databases (Oracle, Postgres) and SQL • Familiarity with Hibernate, AutoSys, and Unix scripting • Proficient in Python for scripting and automation • Deep hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Glue ETL, RedShift, CloudFormation, and more • Experience with Docker, ECS, EKS, and Fargate • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Gradle, Maven) • Skilled in SCM tools like GitLab and Bitbucket; project tracking tools like Jira and Rally • Experience with BI tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau • Ability to lead and mentor junior developers and interns • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team • Prior experience in Agile development environments • Business knowledge of capital markets and market data systems is highly desirable • Advanced certifications in AWS, Java, or Cloud Architecture are a plus • 10+ years of professional software development experience Education: ​​Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
