Senior Java Developer

A successful Senior Server Engineer at Fiserv is a proactive leader who drives innovation in server infrastructure, ensuring robust, scalable, and highly efficient systems. You will be a Partner in Possibility, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, contributing to the company's mission of transforming financial services for our clients. Your work will directly impact the stability and performance of our tech ecosystem, embodying the Fiserv values of tenacity, foresight, and excellence.

What you will do:

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of server infrastructure and applications
- Develop and maintain server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
- Implement security measures and oversee compliance to protect data integrity
- Collaborate with front-end developers on integrating server-side logic with user-facing elements
- Optimize server performance and troubleshoot server-related issues
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance
- Manage deployment and production environments, including troubleshooting and system monitoring
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to streamline CI/CD processes

What you will need to have:

- Proven experience with server infrastructure design, implementation, and management
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and server security practices
- Proficiency in server-side programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Java, or Python)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

What would be great to have:

- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
- Prior experience in a FinTech environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
