What We do / The Team

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst for Markets Risk and Controls Technology who is accountable for the delivery of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing towards the software development of applications focused on controls/alerts/dispositioning within the Markets Business Controls Technology group, with focus on Compliance Risk Programs.  The candidate will work directly with bright and innovative individuals on both the business and technology side.  Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions.  Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function.

Role Overview/What will you do:

Gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce associated functional specifications across multiple functions.Develop Subject Matter Expertise on key applications within the Markets Risk and Control spaceEnsure adherence to and develop best practices supporting Citi’s Project Management StandardsEnsure the business needs are met with the most elegant and timely technology solutionsEnsuring proper development life cycle is followed with artefacts to support Internal Audit and any inquiriesGo-live support, investigation of issues.Partner with business & technology leads globally to deliver an E2E solution.Partner with business, technology and stakeholders to suggest innovative solutions to existing issuesWork with technology leads across various teams to accomplish the project objectives



Responsibilities:

Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and ITConsult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends solutionsSupport system change processes from requirements through implementation and provide input based on analysis of informationConsult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provides user and operational supportIdentify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environmentAct as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assignedHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skillsProven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skillsConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communicationProven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationshipsProven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quicklyDemonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detailBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.Familiarity with agile methodologies.
