As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this newly created position, you will gather and analyze information to document and publish clear, actionable requirements. You’ll also support the evaluation of operational and business objectives, contributing to the development of strategic solutions that drive organizational goals forward.

This is a remote position. Caregivers in this role will work 8:00am to 5:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Work with key stakeholders to assess the impact of business process changes to people, systems and work processes.Analyze operational and system flow as well as develop and recommend action for increased productivity and efficiency. Conducting interviews and facilitating meetings during scoping and business case development will also play an important role.Specialize in and use business process modeling, analysis and design tools as well as business process management automation technologies.Work closely with clinical caregivers and/or business leaders to analyze operational flow and recommend ways to reduce step through use of technology to improve efficiency.Assess solutions for impact on clinical workflows, business processes and overall effect on the patient care process.Provide leadership and mentoring to junior business analysts.Assist in operational rollout and support new solutions.Write user stories and manage scrum ceremonies.Conduct analyses of data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and link performance outcomes to financial and business endeavors.Perform business analysis activities using a variety of techniques in initiatives of varying scope.Identify the current state of processes, eliciting useful and harmful attributes of them, documenting models of the processes and facilitating stakeholder groups to consensus regarding new business process designs.Act in a proactive manner to assist in identifying impacts and linkages to business strategies, organization and their people, data and systems, business policies and business rules, as well as the physical assets of the business.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, management engineering, healthcare operations or a related field and Five years of experience involving operational analysis, business process analysis, continuous improvement, and resource utilization in an information technology environment OR ten years of related experience which could offset the Bachelor’s degree requirement OR High School diploma/GED and nine years of progressive healthcare IT experience OR Associate degree and seven years of progressive healthcare IT experienceFive years of experience involving operational analysis, business process analysis, continuous improvement, and resource utilization in an information technology environment.ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of the position start dateStrong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills are required.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Certifications from the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRMI) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)Certifications in Lean and Six SigmaProfessional Scrum Master (PSM I) preferredPrior experience in a revenue cycle operation shop, AR management, healthcare claims and/or processingEPIC build experience and Epic CertificationHealthcare industry experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
