Responsibilities include verifying artifacts against remediation plans, assessing risk reduction, and collaborating with enterprise control testing to evaluate the design and effectiveness of implemented controls. The position manages the pipeline of in-line reviews throughout the issue lifecycle, matching skillsets and team capacity to requirements, and incorporates review findings into remediation scope. Additionally, this leader will aggregate, report and communicate risk results to inform stakeholders of the existing risk environment and escalate material concerns RMO leaders and committees. The role requires knowledge of audit and regulatory standards for issue closure and involves determining actions needed to comply with these standards through in-line review of RMO owned and identified issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Lead team responsible for performing 1LOD review and assurance of issue remediation 2. Partner with issue owners and accountable executives across the business units to incorporate observations from reviews into remediation scope prior to issue due date. 3. Ensure alignment to enterprise issue management standards, audit methodology, and regulatory expectations for issue closure. 4. Manage 1LOD assurance providers through identification of applicable skillsets and demand/capacity planning 5. Identify and report on themes found from review and assurance, and report through management and board committees. 6. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the review and assurance process for 1LOD 7. Drive a culture of remediation excellence in the organization to effectively and efficiently identify and remediate issues in the first line of defense. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience. 2. 10+ years of progressive related experience in risk or audit functions leading or supporting issue remediation efforts at scale 3. 8+ years of management experience. 4. Strong understanding of industry trends in risk and controls, as well as the shifting regulatory environment for banks of Truist’s size and complexity. 5. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills with strong cross-functional collaboration skills. 6. High attention to detail and ability to think critically and strategically, multi-task, and drive change. 7. Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex programs and projects. 8. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills. 9. Strong meeting management, conflict management, and executive presentation skills. 10. Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to work under difficult time constraints and required delivery dates. 11. Effectively manage direct reports and influence without authority to indirectly manage various related activities. 12. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products. 13.
