THE JOB:
Join MGM Resorts International as a Senior Internal Auditor with a focus on gaming-related audits. This position offers the chance to work on impactful audits that help safeguard our operations and ensure regulatory compliance within the dynamic gaming industry. In this role, you’ll support compliance, financial, and operational audits—primarily focused on gaming operations—while contributing to special projects that support continuous improvement. You’ll bring a strong understanding of internal controls, analytical thinking, and exceptional communication skills to a collaborative, high-performing team.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Lead and support the execution of internal audits, with a focus on gaming compliance and operational controls
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and financial standards
Plan and execute audit fieldwork including walk-throughs, document reviews, and reconciliations
Identify and assess risk factors, and help shape the scope and procedures for audits
Prepare clear, well-documented audit work papers and deliverables
Collaborate with audit team members and internal clients to share findings and recommendations
Coach and guide junior auditors as needed
Contribute to ongoing improvement of audit processes and tools
Stay current on industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to gaming
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
Proficiency with data analysis and business software tools (e.g., Excel, audit software)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
