Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead and execute high-quality interior design projects that align with our firm’s vision and client needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee interior design concepts, ensuring alignment with architectural vision and client objectives.Lead design projects from initial concept through final execution, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and maintain strong relationships.Curate and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting to enhance spatial aesthetics and functionality.Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate interior design seamlessly into overall project development.Promote sustainable design practices and innovative solutions in interior environments.Essential SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.5+ years of experience in interior design, preferably within an architectural firm.Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, and industry standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsCreativity skills.Good presentation skills.Ability to sell projects.Experience in multifamily, senior living, and higher education design.Work Environment
Each person has a cubicle in a friendly work environment, not a studio format, offering exposure to different teams and project types. Located right off Woodward, next to restaurants and bars, and a 5-minute drive to downtown Royal Oak. Work is in-office 4 days a week. The company has been established for over 60 years and offers growth opportunities. There is diversity in the portfolio, including healthcare, multifamily, higher education, and retail projects. The company is expanding its office space, owning their building and planning to expand to the neighboring tenant.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $50.00/hr.
