Senior Instructional Developer

What does a successful Senior Instructional Developer do at Fiserv?

As a Senior Instructional Developer, you will create and maintain vivid, user-centric documentation and training materials adhering to Fiserv style guidelines. You will play a key role in developing instructional content and annual review documents for machine operators, print operators, and other essential processes to ensure seamless operations.

What you will do:

Oversee team collaboration with Development, QA, Product Management, and other groups to plan, research, write, and revise instructional materials, including tutorials, SOPs, training class materials, and API documentation.Develop and maintain documentation for various audiences, from non-technical end users to stakeholders and clients.Establish and uphold team policies and procedures, conforming to existing styles, policies, and procedures.Conduct annual reviews of documents and oversee peer editing and production review work.Write documentation for machine operators and print operators ensuring clarity and usability.

What you will need to have:

5+ years of experience in writing complex documentation and developing instructional materials.5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office including SharePoint or similar applications.5+ years of experience with technical writing, production, and technical editing.Strong analytical skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.Prior experience with consulting with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management.

What would be great to have:

BA/BS in Technical Communication or related discipline and/or equivalent military experience.6+ years of experience in instructional design and developing IT-related training materials.Certification in Technical Communication or Instructional Design.Experience with creating API documentation for external developers.

This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
