Senior Innovation Partnerships Manager
The Senior Innovation Partnerships Manager will ensure that Philips and China clinical partners capitalize, in a compliant way, on the full potential of their innovation partnership. In this instrumental role, the Senior Innovation Partnerships Manager will drive operational efficiency, explore new ways to deliver joint innovation and develop the image of the partnerships.
The Senior Innovation Partnerships Manager will be responsible, for the development, implementation, and ongoing success of innovative programs for Philips in collaboration with clinical partners in China. Within the Clinical Partnerships Organization of the Medical Office, the Senior Innovation Partnerships Manager will oversee the program implementation lifecycle for large- scale initiatives that seek to fundamentally shift the industry, enabling Philips to maximize impact of joint innovation.
Acting as a relationship manager, program manager and clinical liaison, you will navigate and collaborate across Philips Business Units (BUs) and hospitals, ensuring that effective and high-quality strategic partnerships are established and maintained.
You will help to standardize account and program management processes, matching the type of program to engagement archetypes whose deliverables you will closely monitor and track, all the while ensuring a high Innovation Net Promoter Score (NPS) and rapid program launch cycles.
This role will report directly to the Head of Innovation Partnerships Greater China and work in close collaboration with commercial account managers, Businesses, and Enterprise Functions.
Your Responsibilities
+ Acting as the single point of contact, manage business one critical Clinical Partnership, encompassing one or more Innovation Programs, co-development (public-private partnerships, R&D), evidence generation and post market studies.
+ Establish and implement an account plan and strategy together with external and internal stakeholders, achieving a targeted Innovation NPS and advanced joint innovation accelerator that capitalize on both parties strength,
+ Ensure operational excellence in program management and end-to-end tracking, and timely completion. Conduct program management in a consistent manner according to a Strategic Joint Innovation Framework. Monitor, track and report out on program status.
+ Help to ensure alignment across Businesses, Functions and customers to enable success in co-creation, while also ensuring that the Businesses remain empowered and accountable for Innovation Programs at those sites. Important stakeholders include but are not limited to Business R&D team, Clinical and Medical Teams, Commercial Account Managers, Business Leaders.
+ Develop and drive productive long-term relationships with cross-functional stakeholders within Philips BUs and the customer at various levels across clinical and non-clinical departments
+ Negotiate contractual agreements, coordinate and drive account.
+ Help to evaluate Customer-pull (customer generated inbound propositions) and Philips-pull (Philips generated outbound propositions) requests for Innovation Programs according to customer and program selection criteria
+ Cultivate and engage KOLs at strategic sites, driving Philips promotion, facilitating BU management with customers
+ Uncover and systematically document customer insights and market trends that influence business decisions
+ Leverage the partnership’s impact to build a strong image by, actively contributing promoting partnerships internally and externally, coordinating with BUs, regions and MO to ensure the right stories are reaching the right audience and delivering case studies, webinars and other external activities with regional and global Philips comms
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
+ Master level (MA, MSc, MBA) or PhD preferred in relevant area
+ Has at least 7-10 years business experience, preferably in business-development, account management and/or program management/process improvement experience
+ Experience managing large programs within a complex matrixed organization
+ Ideally, experience in working in the leading hospitals
+ Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives through influence
+ Strong communication skills. Ability to comfortably lead meetings with mid/senior-level management
+ Desired business understanding of the health care industry and health plan economics, including value-based agreements
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to manage high performing teams
**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
