Senior Infrastructure Reliability Engineer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Senior Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to join our team in Manila. This is a permanent, hands-on technical role focused on ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of middleware systems and cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in WebSphere, Azure, automation scripting, and certificate management, along with excellent troubleshooting skills and a team-oriented mindset. The role includes participation in a rotational weekend on-call support schedule.


Position Responsibilities:
Middleware Administration & Support

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal.Deploy and support applications and portlets in WebSphere environments.Integrate LDAP with TDS and TDI, including version upgrades.Perform patching, hardening, SSL setup, and certificate renewals in line with security standards.Provide escalation support for middleware-related issues.

Cloud & Azure Operations

Manage and optimize Azure services: App Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and API Management.Support integration of middleware with cloud-native applications.Contribute to cloud migration and optimization initiatives.


Portal Management

Configure and maintain WebSphere Portal clusters, virtual portals, and backend database integrations.Manage portal themes, skins, portlets, and content syndication.Execute ConfigEngine tasks and support high availability configurations.


Automation & Scripting

Develop and maintain Shell and Batch scripts for infrastructure automation.Use Ansible to automate deployment and configuration tasks.


Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues.Implement logging, alerting, and diagnostic tools to ensure system health and uptime.Apply strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve infrastructure and middleware issues.


Project Participation & Team Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on middleware and infrastructure projects.Contribute to documentation, testing, and deployment activities.Support project timelines and deliverables.Be a proactive team player, contributing to a positive and productive team environment.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.7+ years of experience in middleware and cloud infrastructure roles.Strong hands-on experience with WebSphere, WebLogic, and Oracle Forms/Reports.Proficient in Microsoft Azure (PaaS/IaaS).Familiar with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Willingness to participate in rotational weekend on-call support.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with IBM Sterling, SDS, BPM, WODM, and IIS.Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and container technologies.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
