About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our IT infrastructure across multiple technology domains, including servers, networking, storage, backups, cloud environments, and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1st and 2nd line support for IT incidents and requests via phone, email, and remote support tools. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across: Windows Server infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, IIS, patch management) Networking environments (static and dynamic routing, BGP, firewalls, load balancers, WAN optimization) Storage & backup systems, including design, implementation, upgrades, and replication management Virtualization platforms (VMware, failover clustering) Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Develop, maintain, and improve technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Perform vulnerability remediation, firmware/hardware upgrades, and capacity planning. Administer and configure IT monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, ServiceNow). Implement and manage database solutions, including data migrations, backups, and recovery. Drive service excellence and continuous improvement within IT Operations. Assist in onboarding new associates and providing remote meeting support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience (5+ years) in enterprise IT infrastructure support or systems administration. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across diverse technologies.

Expertise in:

Windows Server and Active Directory administration Networking concepts and troubleshooting (BGP, routing protocols, firewalls) Storage and backup technologies (hardware upgrades, CLI tools, design & implementation) Virtualization technologies (VMware, clustering, high availability solutions) Cloud technologies (experience with at least one: AWS, Azure, or GCP) Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Knowledge of ITSM processes (ITIL Foundation certification preferred). Proficiency in using and configuring monitoring tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create and update clear technical documentation and runbooks. Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to Have:

Microsoft Certified (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tanium) Knowledge of SCCM, SCOM, and ServiceNow Familiarity with database management and migration processes Experience in quality analysis and process improvement within IT operations
