The Industrial Engineer is a problem-solver, change agent, resource, designer, and project manager. You will be responsible for driving manufacturing initiatives, including process flows, value stream mapping, 5S methodologies, and evaluating large data sets. Your objective will be to provide new, more streamlined processes and efficiencies for the plant.
ResponsibilitiesDrive manufacturing initiatives such as process flows and value stream mapping.Implement 5S methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.Conduct time studies and evaluate large data sets.Facilitate change process flows and implement lean manufacturing principles.Oversee robotic welding cells and manufacturing processes.Engage in project management and design engineering tasks.Utilize tools such as AutoCAD for tooling and line balancing.Perform data analysis to enhance operational efficiencies.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering.3+ years of experience in manufacturing.Proficiency in lean six sigma methodologies.Experience with process flow and time studies.Knowledge of robotic welding and manufacturing engineering.Strong skills in value stream mapping and change process flow.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in project management and process improvement.Familiarity with OEE and data analysis.Competence in AutoCAD and design engineering.Work Environment
The work environment is a large manufacturing facility spanning almost 500,000 square feet. The facility is engaged in the production of sheet metal shelving units, similar to those found in major retail stores. The building is older, and the equipment is somewhat dated, contributing to a noisy atmosphere due to the fabrication and manufacturing lines. Office spaces are located above the manufacturing floor, providing easy access to the production lines. Engineers will primarily work on the floor, collaborating with production support and managing their projects.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62.00 - $68.00/hr.
