We are seeking an experienced Cyber Defense Senior Incident Communications Lead to enhance the Communications function within Microsoft’s Cyber Defense Operations. The Communications function of the Defense Operations organization is responsible for ensuring timely, consistent, and accurate information flow that supports effective incident coordination, response, reporting, and assessment for legal, contractual, privacy, and regulatory reporting obligations.

**Responsibilities**
Collaborate with Cyber Defense Operations and other partners to define standards and principles for information flow and information sharing, as well as continuously refining these standards to enable cross-functional workstreams.
Developing automated reporting of Cyber Defense Operations activity to enable consistent, accurate, and responsible reporting to stakeholders both within the Office of the CISO and across Microsoft divisions.
Coordinate with legal teams to support the fulfillment of incident related regulatory and contractual requirements.
Partner with OCISO leadership to inform the CISO and Deputy CISOs through daily and weekly reports of incidents.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualification**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
+ 5+ years experience in cybersecurity incident response, or program management OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years experience in cybersecurity, operations, or technical program management.
+ Experience in cross functional project management or crisis management.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and technical information clearly and effectively.
+ Experience in cybersecurity, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, and operations incident response
+ CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, and/or Security+ certification “Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter."
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
