We inform our customers and build a better developer community. **Partner with the best** As a Senior II Documentation and Training Specialist Lead, you'll create and maintain technical documentation for Akamai's security, compute, and delivery products. This role involves close collaboration with global SMEs and engineering teams. As a Senior II Documentation and Training Specialist Lead, you will be responsible for: + Mentoring writers with people and project management skills, consistently delivering projects on time. + Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather accurate and detailed information. + Having a foundational understanding of technical concepts, with hands-on experience in both software and hardware documentation. + Leading by example in creating and maintaining various content typesinstallation manuals, user guides, API references, training slides, and video materials. + Adepting at managing multiple concurrent deadlines in an agile environment, balancing documentation initiatives effectively. + Using analytics and feedback loops to assess documentation impact, improve content quality, and ensure relevance across audiences. + Having excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills + Acting as SME for style and formatting; ensuring content is clear, accurate, and aligned with standards. **Do what you love** To be successful in this role you will: + Have a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or another related field or its equivalent + Have 8+ years of technical writing experience, and 2 to 3 years as a team lead. + Have experience working on an agile software development team across remote and globally distributed teams + Have experience supporting multiple development teams and deliverables in a demanding environment with multiple competing priorities + Be experienced with industry-standard tools for software development and documentation. + Have proficiency in wikis, issue trackers, diagramming, project management, version control, and code editors. **Work in a way that works for you** FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
