We are looking for a Senior Hydropower Engineer with strong technical expertise in the planning, optimisation, design and specification of large-scale hydropower and pumped hydro schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design development and optimisation of large-scale hydropower and pumped hydropower schemes, including both surface and underground components
Develop and optimise the powerhouse layout integrating key hydro-mechanical and hydro-electrical equipment
Prepare, review, and coordinate civil, mechanical, and electrical design inputs related to hydropower plants. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate all components of the scheme.
Ensure designs are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectives and site conditions.
Conduct and review feasibility studies for new hydropower projects.
Prepare detailed technical specifications, design reports, drawings, and other documentation.
QualificationsRole Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in hydropower design
Proficiency in mechanical and structural analysis tools and CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, ANSYS)
