Senior HR Generalist
Description We are seeking a skilled and well-rounded HR Generalist with expertise in leave administration, employee relations, benefits, compensation management, and policy creation to support our growing organization of approximately 120 employees. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to pick up and manage ongoing HR processes effectively. This role requires an individual with strong knowledge of employment law and generalist duties, who can also assist with strategic initiatives and special events coordination. Key Responsibilities Leave Administration + Manage all leave of absence (LOA) processes from start to finish, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and short-term disability (STD) claims. + Track and log employee leave using the existing leave tracker (currently in SharePoint), ensuring timely processing of documentation and communications. + Guide employees through the leave processes, including providing paperwork and coordinating with vendors to ensure accurate payment for claims. Employee Relations & Performance Management + Provide coaching to supervisors to improve performance management practices, including the development and implementation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). + Support management in resolving employee relations issues stemming from performance concerns and evaluations. + Address employee concerns effectively, foster productive communication, and assist with occasional investigations. Benefits Administration + Prepare for and participate in open enrollment, including meetings with brokers and potential plan revisions. + Facilitate communication of open enrollment information to employees and assist with administration as needed. Compensation and Benchmarking + Utilize tools such as Salary.com and PayFactors for compensation benchmarking and analysis. + Assist in designing bonus structures and ensuring equitable pay practices. Policy Creation and Revision + Collaborate with leadership to review, revise, and establish company policies while helping to streamline processes. + Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices for policy documentation. Event Planning & Coordination + Support planning and coordination for an upcoming major company event. + Handle additional administrative tasks arising from increased workload due to the event Requirements + Strong understanding of leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and STD processes. + Solid knowledge of employment law, inclusive of employee relations and performance management best practices. + Experience with benefits administration, compensation analysis, and policy creation. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees and leadership effectively. + Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
