Job Description
As a Senior Healthcare Economist in the Market Access team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and execution of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) projects. Your expertise will support the value demonstration of our innovative pharmaceutical portfolio and contribute to evidence-based decision-making that drives access, reimbursement, and policy shaping efforts across various therapeutic areas.
You will collaborate cross-functionally—internally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Public Policy, and Clinical Research teams, and externally with scientific societies, policymakers, and healthcare institutions—to generate impactful health data and economic models that support the delivery of sustainable healthcare solutions in Romania.Key Responsibilities
Evidence Generation & AnalysisIdentify, access, and analyze real-world data from local and international sources (e.g., registries, studies, scientific publications).Design and implement HEOR studies including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and budget impact analyses.Address evidence gaps and generate data to support reimbursement strategies, health technology assessments (HTAs), and value dossiers.Develop reports and peer-reviewed publications to communicate findings.Lead local data generation initiatives in alignment with business priorities.Strategy & Policy SupportContribute to the development of product value propositions and evidence-based pricing and contracting strategies.Support innovative access models and payer negotiations.Provide insights from epidemiological analysis and healthcare system data to support early detection of threats and identification of opportunities.Stakeholder EngagementPresent and disseminate HEOR insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.Education & QualificationsMaster’s or PhD in Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Medicine, or a related field.Professional ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experience in Statistics or Health Economics, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or public health institutions.Proven experience in cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling using comprehensive modeling tools.Strong familiarity with the Romanian healthcare system, pricing and reimbursement processes, and HTA requirements.Background in epidemiological methods, clinical trial interpretation, and health outcomes research.Key Competencies & SkillsTechnical ExpertiseSolid knowledge of health economic modeling techniques and outcomes research methodologies.Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.Communication & CollaborationAdvanced oral and written communication in English.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence internal and external stakeholders.Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.Leadership BehaviorsAct with courage and integrity.Focus on patients and healthcare impact.Foster cross-functional collaboration.Demonstrate agility and accountability in a dynamic environment.Work Environment & TravelField presence: 25% of the timeInternational travel: 5%Work model: Hybrid or office-based work model, depending on business needs.If you are passionate about healthcare economics and want to make a significant impact in the pharmaceutical industry, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
