The Boeing Company is seeking a **Senior Health and Safety Specialist** to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) organization in **Huntsville, AL** . In order for the selected candidate to be successful in the role they will have an extensive background in industrial hygiene, and supporting multiple sites. **Position Responsibilities:** + Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes + Develops and provides training and instructions + Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations + Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections + Plans and conducts health and safety audits **This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.** A final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor’s degree or higher + 5+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) + 5+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits + 5+ years of experience with Industrial Hygiene + 1+ years of project management experience **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Experience with ordinance, and government contracts + Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals **Drug Free Workplace:** Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies _._ **Pay & Benefits:** At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
