Step into a rewarding role where you’ll lead health and safety initiatives across a dynamic and diverse organisation. As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll promote a proactive safety culture, support staff across departments, and play a key role in developing effective policies, audits, and emergency responses. You'll also have the opportunity to specialise in areas like biological or chemical safety, machinery, events, or disability adjustments.

What You’ll Do:

Provide expert advice on health and safety to leaders and teams across multiple departments.

Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement clear policies, procedures, and training aligned with legal requirements.

Act as the lead advisor in specialist areas such as chemical safety, machinery, events, or radiation.

Support, mentor, and manage junior advisors ensuring task allocation, performance, and development.

Collaborate with external bodies like the HSE and emergency services as needed.

Contribute to emergency planning and health and safety strategy development.

What You Bring:

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), with a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

IOSH membership and proven experience in complex, multi-risk environments.

Strong communication and training skills—able to engage all levels of staff.

Ability to translate legal and technical requirements into accessible guidance.

Experience supervising or mentoring others and fostering team development.

High attention to detail, with practical, people-focused problem solving.
