THE PROJECT
The University of Miami has entered a long-term partnership with Legends to oversee athletics ticket sales, customer service, annual fund solicitation/engagement, ticket operations, digital marketing, corporate partnerships, and multi-media rights opportunities. In addition, Legends will represent the University in developing campus-wide strategic partnerships. As the exclusive partner for Miami Athletics, Legends will engage Hurricanes fans and donors, local and regional South Florida businesses, and national brands with unique and integrated sponsorship, ticketing, and hospitality options.
THE ROLE
The Senior Group Ticket Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around season, group, premium ticket, donation, and hospitality packages for University of Miami Athletics. Although this is a full-menu sales position, there is a specific emphasis on selling group ticket inventory. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. This position will engage, sell and service a portfolio of high value customers and donors. This position will be focused on building relationships, servicing all Hurricanes supporters, driving revenue, and being a positive steward and representative of Legends and the University of Miami. The Senior Group Ticket Sales Representative will report to the Director, Ticket Sales & Service.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will primarily be focused on selling Miami Hurricanes group outings for all ticketed sports, and responsible for selling a full menu of other ticketed products for Miami Hurricanes Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball. A significant emphasis on face-to-face selling will be necessary for success in this role. Day-to-day duties include regularly prospecting local organizations (non-profits, places of worship, businesses, youth sports, etc.) to contact, social selling, attending external events, conducting appointments/tours, and conducting virtual presentations. Coachability and focus on development within these skill areas is a must. There is an expectation of exceeding minimums as it pertains to the volume of face-to-face meetings needed per week and per month necessary to be successful. The candidate is expected to coordinate and execute sales calls to potential customers through prospecting, cold callings, and referrals from current customers. There is an expectation of exceeding weekly/monthly/yearly minimums as it pertains to the volume of calls and duration of calls necessary to be successful. Identify new prospects and provide excellent customer service, driving revenue through the sales of ticket and donation offerings. Specifically, group outing prospects. This could include schools, places of worship, businesses, non-profits, affinity organizations, and more. Effectively utilize Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospect interactions. Participate and contribute to weekly sales meetings and training sessions with leadership. Work in conjunction with teammates to promote and generate sales to all ticketed events, while providing a great fan experience. Entertain and nurture relationships with current donors and season ticket holders through creative means including but not limited to networking events, speaking engagements, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games, open houses at the stadium/arena, and outside meetings. Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events, and game days. Assist with any special projects or duties as assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS

Proven ability to drive additional purchases and upsell from existing donors and ticket holders is preferred. Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills Maintain a professional image and positive attitude. Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media. Set and conduct in-stadium, arena and out-of-the-office sales appointments. Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions. Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals. Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members and donors. Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organizations. Ability to handle a heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails. Candidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate with C-level clients.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. 2 to 3+ years of sales experience is preferred, with a proven ability to sell group tickets at a high level. Experience selling 5 and 6 figure ticketing and donations deals is preferred.
