Senior Graphic Coordinator
LOCATION: Newington, CT. This position is not remote or hybrid. WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; 9:00 am- 5:30 pm SUMMARY Act as liaison between manufacturing, purchasing, scheduling, and the customer or account executive. Initiate customer jobs into the production cycle and expedite answers for the customer, account executive and manufacturing. Coordinates complex print jobs through the operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Provide daily contact with press planning, clients, vendors, sales, account teams and bindery to ensure excellent communication and timely coordinating on all aspects of print services production from start to finish. + Assigned to more complex jobs or priority jobs. + Maintain an up-to-date status report. + Interact with clients directly to discuss artwork. Review preliminary artwork and provide detailed feedback with suggestions or concerns. + Responsible for the production of job tickets, pre-press tickets, ink slips and job layouts. + Check the accuracy of Epson proofs. Responsible for accurate imposition rule-ups of proofs and press sheets. + Arrange for the delivery of proofs to customers. + Process customer corrections as needed. + Perform press checks onsite/offsite, when applicable. + Distribute proofs and proof sheets. Assist in the production of proofs when necessary. + Inform the pressroom of any stocks that may require inks that are specially formulated to print on the substrate ordered by the customer, e.g., UV Ultra, metallic coated stocks, etc. + Change the job ticket to reflect change(s), as required. Inform production, as well as the department manager, purchasing manager and scheduling where the job is currently located. + Ascertain whether special order items are in house or have been ordered. + Troubleshoot jobs when necessary. + Closeout jobs for billing. + Comply with company rules and regulations. + Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data. + Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department. + Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives. + Perform other related duties, as required, to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE + High school diploma or GED plus 1-2 years experience in a graphic services environment or equivalent COMPETENCIES + Knowledge of computers, keyboarding and word processing software + Organized and detail oriented + Ability to deal with people + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Basic math skills
