Senior Governance and Control Officer

This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team to drive and implement the risk management and compliance requirements for the Regional Agency/ FA & Bancassurance division and the representatives, by effectively supporting the business units and representatives in their duty to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

The Job

·       Assist in serving as the point of contact between the department and Group Risk Management Team on Risk and Compliance, Business Continuity Management and Technology Risk matters

·       Help prepare reports and updates on all reportable operational incidents and compliance events to Group Risk Management Team in a timely manner and escalated to the appropriate forums

·       Assist in the review of risks assessments required for the department/division e.g. Compliance Risk, Risk and Control and Fraud Risk Assessment, Third Party Risk Management

·       Support the coordination and resolution of any MAS / Internal Audit observations and action plans that are tagged to the department/division

·       Assist in ensuring that the compliance matrix review and risk and compliance reports are completed in a timely manner

·       Assist in ensuring timely reviews of cases triggered by Company approved monitoring system, and information via other sources reported to the department.

·       Manage data incidents and conduct preliminary investigations as required.

·       Assist with the yearly review of Data Loss Protection training guides and updates for Annual Declaration Exercise

·       Help communicate and reinforce the awareness of Market Conduct policies and guidelines.

·       Perform other work as required to meet business needs

Our Requirements

·       Degree holder in Banking & Finance or Risk Management preferred

·       3-5 years of experience in the Insurance Industry would be an added advantage.

·       Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

·       Meticulous, systematic, able to work well independently and as a team

·       Self-starter and proactive

·       Committed and able to interact well with all levels of staff
