Senior Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Job Description Summary:

The position is responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, building and maintaining financial models and providing actionable financial insights to support decision-making.  Additionally, they will assist in leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, preparing senior leadership-level financial reports, all while collaborating and supporting various stakeholders throughout cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will leverage their financial experience to translate complex financial data into actionable insights, contributing to the overall profitability and efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for consolidating, analyzing & reporting Global EDS monthly Actual/Fcst reportsHFM (Hyperion)/month-end reconciliationProvide meaningful profitability (I/S) and cashflow (CF) analysisEnsure reporting is compliant with company policyEnsure all corporate and divisional allocations throughout EDS business segment are understood, are correct, documented, communicated and properly actionedHighlight and discuss the main drivers of various performance variancesPrepare consolidated financial reports, analyses and presentations to senior managementAssist in the wider preparation of close processes, monthly/quarterly business reviews (MBR/QBR) and budget (BBP) work within the Global FP&A TeamAssist with planning and communication to regional teams for reporting timelinesSupport global data requests from cross-functional teamsSupport leadership as needed with ad hoc projectsDrive to continuously improve and enhance key reporting processes and outputs

Basic Skills/Qualification:

Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance requiredAutomotive sector experience preferred5+ years’ experience of relevant experience5+ years’ experience of financial analysisStrong analytical background and knowledge of financial statements with attention to detailAbility to bridge financial data to tell a story conciselyCritical thinking and problem-solving abilities with capability to simplify complex itemsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong planning, time management abilities (highly independent) and ambitiousMicrosoft Excel (Advanced)Knowledge of SAP ERP system and HFM (Hyperion)English (Proficient)

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Prior FP&A experience highly preferredPrior actuals (incl. systems) consolidation and reconciliation experience preferredPrior operations/plant finance experience a plusPrior experience in multi-national, global companies across time-zones a plusAbility to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneouslySound communication skills: written and verbal along with individual, team and group environments
