Leidos is looking for a Senior GIS System Analyst to support of the Civil Rights Division of DOJ.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Working directly with Government staff under the direction of the Leidos Lead Project Manager.
Meets with manager to review GIS data requirements and propose a technical approach to generate maps and other graphic designs.
Creates maps/reports and related deliverables based on customer requests, including posting maps and related geospatial data to the internal GIS Portal.
Performs analysis, development, implementation of processing approaches and quality checks for electronic files and related mapping and geospatial services
Provides administrative and technical support via applying knowledge of GIS concepts, a variety of mapping software/products (i.e. ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro, Network Analyst, ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online), computer graphics and demographic data products (i.e. US Census Bureau TIGER data, Census PL94-171 data and American Community Survey/ACS data) or demographic data from various sources
Participates in teleconferences with co-counsel, client agencies, and opposing counsel upon attorney requests.
Performs mapping project evaluations and presents findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal reports and/or oral presentations as needed
Obtains, extracts, modifies, convert, process, upload, export and perform quality accuracy assurance of complex demographic data (i.e. U.S. Census Bureau data, Government datasets, Civil Rights case-specific data) or other sources per customer specifications
Prepares, processes, geocodes, and analyzes large address databases
Determines optimum mapping routing schemas as necessary using appropriate GIS software.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years of related experience in Geographic Information Systems at a high level technical support position
Must demonstrate ability to analyze system requirements and translate those requirements into a coherent system design.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
Must have in-depth knowledge of GIS data, GIS Portals, GIS concepts and software (ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro, Network Analyst, ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online) and computer graphics and demographic data products (i.e. US Census Bureau TIGER data).
Candidate should have strong editing background and ability to work with multiple groups across the Division.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in litigation support environment.
Knowledge of Government’s IT environment.
Telework may be available on few / specific instances.

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
