Position Summary This role is ideal for a finance individual with strong valuation expertise and a background in venture capital or private equity. The Senior Fund Accountant will work closely with the finance team, investment partners, and external stakeholders to manage fund operations and valuation processes. The position requires a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Valuations + Prepare and document quarterly 820 valuation analyses for portfolio companies + Identify and explain key assumptions and inputs in valuation models + Communicate valuation results to auditors and the valuation committee Fund Operations + Assist in quarterly close processes, including financial and partner statements + Support preparation of quarterly and annual audited financials + Review capital call and distribution allocations + Manage cash flow planning and capital call scheduling + Mentor and support fund accountants + Respond to LP inquiries and manage distribution of financial documents + Coordinate with auditors and prepare supporting documentation + Handle ad hoc projects and operational initiatives as needed Company Culture & Values + Empathy & Humility: Deep understanding of the founder journey and a commitment to service + Excellence & Accountability: High standards, attention to detail, and ownership of outcomes + Teamwork & Transparency: Collaborative environment with a shared vision + Agility & Urgency: Operates with the same speed and precision as the companies it supports + Positive Intent: Trust and respect are foundational to all interactions Note: Excited about this opportunity? Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field + CPA preferred but not required + 4+ years of experience in public audit (VC/PE clients) or in-house VC/PE fund accounting + Strong valuation experience required + Advanced Excel modeling skills + Experience with ERP systems such as Investran, Intacct, or QuickBooks is a plus Note: Excited about this role?
