Senior Functional Safety Engineer Normal, Illinois **Onsite** Contract $53.66/hr - $61.32/hr **Title:** Senior Functional Safety Engineer **Description:** THIS ROLE IS 100% ONSITE AT our Client's Site in Normal, Illinois. 12/31 HARD-SET END DATE TO START: WITH POTENTIAL TO BE EXTENDED DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NEEDS AND PERFORMANCE Schedule: M-F 630-5(1 hour non-billable lunch) avg 8 hours with flex depending on business needs MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES: -Work with engineering, operations and equipment vendors for design and commissioning activities -Conduct Equipment Safety Buyoffs with a cross-functional team -Complete Risk Assessments in accordance with ISO 12100 and our client's standards In this role, you will be involved with the design and specifications for new machinery and equipment for Engineering & Manufacturing sites. You will also be an active participant in equipment acceptance testing and commissioning as well as evaluating proposed changes to equipment and machinery for safety requirements.
