We’re looking for a talented and passionate Senior UI Developer to join our team. As part of a high-performing and collaborative squad, you’ll help shape the business credit journey at RBC. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, designers, and development teams to develop quality products with innovative and streamlined solutions that make a real impact.Job Description
What will you do?
Lead the front-end development efforts using reusable components to create responsive, scalable, and user-friendly client interfacesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and create mock-upsImplement and optimize user interactions, visualizations, and data presentations for an intuitive user experienceParticipate in agile development processes for timely project deliveryContinuously improve the performance, functionality, and usability of software applicationsBuild compelling reports/dashboards and translate findings into data storytellingPro-actively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze functional requirements and deliver the appropriate artefacts as neededGuide and mentor a cast of developersWhat do you need to succeed?
Must have:
5+ years experience in a front-end function/roleProven expertise in front-end development with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projectsMultiple years experience in designing wireframes and mock-ups (with a tool like Figma or related), developing, and maintaining web-based applications, architectures and frameworksSolid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handlingProficiency in building data services and managing application state using NGXS/NgRx or similar.Proficiency in reactive programming library such as RxJS.Great eye for detail – the ability to transform high fidelity prototypes into pixel-perfect user interfaces.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies – Angular, NodeJS etc.Familiarity with UI/UX principles and responsive design techniques and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize application performanceExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and autonomouslyStrong business communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly refining requirements directly from business stakeholders and working with ambiguitiesAbility to accept accountability, assume leadership and demonstrate initiativeAdvanced knowledge of, and experience in manipulating large disparate data sets from multiple sources in multiple formatsNice to have:
Knowledge and experience of Google Analytics for reportingAgile mindset and ability to balance priority and workloadUnderstanding of modern styling tools – SASS/SCSS, Flexbox, Animations, etc.Strong knowledge of fundamental data concepts (for example, but not limited to groups, hierarchies, data structures) and SDLC.Experience with Jira, GitHubExperience with Visual StudioWhat’s in it for you?
