Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. The Enterprise Content Services team is responsible for enhancing our enterprise content management system and developing new internal applications.  We use the OpenText TeamSite/LiveSite platform, various DevOps and cloud technologies, Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Bootstrap, CSS/HTML5, MS SQL and related tools.  You will be involved in all aspects of our development process, from design to production.

What you will do:

Write well-written, well-documented Java and JavaScript codeEnhance, extend and support our TeamSite/LiveSite content management systemIntegrate between platforms, primarily using RESTAssist our production support team to troubleshoot issuesAnalyze requirements, explore options, and recommend efficient solutions, taking into account reusability, security and performanceBe open-minded and look beyond your stack to solve complex problemsProactively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challengesCommunicate effectively with peers and distil technical details into human termsEnsure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing

What do you need to succeed?
 

Must Have:

Experience working with the OpenText TeamSite/LiveSite stackExperience developing with Java and JavaScriptStrong communication and collaboration skillsA working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JSON and XMLA working knowledge of SQL and database use

Nice To Have:

Corporate experience working with web content management systemsXSLTBootstrapSpring & Spring Boot, HibernateAPI Development (REST)Google Analytics experienceCloud DevelopmentTest FrameworksExperience with DevOps, CD/CI tools- Jenkins, GitHub, Automated Testing tools, or similar tools
