We are looking for a talented and experienced front end engineer to spearhead development of the Antha OS user interface. The Project Antha is a high level language transforming biological engineering by turning laboratory protocols into executable code defining physical operations such as liquid handling alongside logical operations and data processing. AnthaOS defines the execution environment for Antha processes and defines a number of front-end components for users to manage jobs, track stocks and examine data in addition to custom interfaces for more specialised purposes. Day-to-day, youll be working with a tight-knit, multidisciplinary development team on an exciting project with plenty of technical challenge to get your teeth into. Technically, youll be delivering a web-based front end in Google Polymer across both mobile and desktop platforms, handling backend communications via SocketIO and RESTful services. Personally, you will be as meticulous in your attention to detail as you are uncompromising in your commitment to maintaining first class development practices and making user experience the first priority, values you will actively encourage in others. Key requirements Expertise in Javascript, particularly in an asynchronous context, with experience in at least one of React, AngularJS, Meteor, Flux Substantial experience and expertise delivering complex single-page apps Knowledge of all aspects of UI development At least 3 years professional experience of front-end development in a team environment Computer science degree or equivalent Experience of agile development and a devotion to testing TDDBDD as a means to ensure high quality code.
