Job DescriptionAs our Senior Engineering Foreman (Mechanical) you will be required to maintain and assist in the operation of equipment and systems according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications by:
Over-inspecting daily activities on the plant to ensure maintenance according to organizational standardsCo-ordinating and monitoring equipment availability to ensure attainment of production targetsCommunicating equipment information and changes to relevant stakeholder to minimize production delaysContinuously analyze equipment deficiencies and recommend and/or implement improvements and changes to maximize equipment utilizationLiaising with internal and external stakeholders of the production process to ensure operational optimizationPlanning activities in accordance to production, breakdowns and maintenance schedules and allocate and source resources as requiredPerforming administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability, budget compliance and spares availabilityCommunicating with clients and supervisors to inform on maintenance activities performed and availability of equipmentEnsuring compliance to company policies and procedures and legal requirements training and development of subordinatesThis role is in the Ore Processing, Engineering department on a Band 7 level and reporting to the Plant Engineer
QualificationsYou will be required to have the following:
N2/N3 National Engineering Certificate (Mechanical)Recognized Mechanical Trade Certificate with Red SealMHSA 2.9.2 Legal CertificateComputer Literacy – MS Works Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook)5 years post-qualification experience within mining production environment managing peoplePrevious experience as engineering foreman will be advantageousForeman’s Certificate or Senior Foreman’s Certificate will be advantageousKnowledge of Mine Health & Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996) as amendedKnowledge of the Mechanical discipline (E.g. crushers, pumps, screens and conveyors including rigging and fitting activities)
