As a Senior Java Engineer within the Electronic Trading Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our in-house connectivity platform and delivering key initiatives related to our Delta 1 flow. You will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery process, including gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support the desk. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the platform's architecture and driving simplification initiatives, ensuring it remains robust and future-ready.
In addition, you will work on optimising and reducing the latency of the platform to maintain its competitive edge in the market. You will also provide second-level production support to ensure the high availability and reliability of our trading systems. With a focus on delivering within agreed constraints of time, effort and scope, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our trading technology landscape
What you offer

10 + years of solid experience in low-level Java development with a focus on tuning for low-latency trading systemsStrong knowledge of the FIX protocol and its application in trading environmentsProven ability to work well under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with automated testing, including building testing harnesses, ensuring robust and reliable systemsFamiliarity with performance testing and market data handling to optimise system efficiency and reliability.
