**Day in the Life of a Senior Firmware / DSP Engineer**
We are looking for an experienced **Senior Firmware / DSP Engineer** to join our growing team in Wroclaw, Poland. In this role, you will take a leading technical position in the design, development, optimization, and testing of firmware and digital signal processing algorithms for advanced embedded systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for existing and next-generation products, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to best practices in firmware development.

**Responsibilities**
+ Lead the design, development, testing, and debugging of firmware for embedded systems, including bare-metal and RTOS-based applications.
+ Implement, optimize, and refine digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms to meet performance and resource requirements.
+ Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring high-quality firmware development and adherence to best practices.
+ Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware platforms.
+ Conduct detailed code reviews and mentor junior engineers to promote continuous learning and improvement.
+ Develop and maintain robust documentation for firmware designs, development processes, and testing methodologies.
+ Take ownership of technical deliverables, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.
+ Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in embedded systems and digital signal processing, and apply them to product development.
**Your Team**
As a **Senior Firmware / DSP Engineer** , you will be part of a global engineering organization with team members across Europe, North America, and Asia. You will work closely with the Wroclaw-based team, which contributes to a wide range of products, including digital multimeters, solar applications, installation testers, EV (electric vehicle) market solutions, calibration tools, and network equipment. Your expertise will help strengthen the team and drive innovation in our product portfolio.
**Experience and Skills**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Extensive experience in firmware development for embedded systems, with strong proficiency in C/C++.
+ In-depth knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts and their implementation in embedded environments.
+ Proven track record of optimizing DSP algorithms for performance, power, and memory efficiency.
+ Proficiency with software development tools such as compilers, debuggers, and version control systems.
+ Hands-on experience with modern development practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Agile methodologies.
+ Expertise in multi-threaded programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS) or Embedded Linux.
+ Strong focus on software quality, with experience in unit testing, code reviews, and static code analysis.
**Nice to Have:**
+ Experience with signal processing applications in areas such as audio, communications, or instrumentation.
+ Exposure to hardware/software co-design and collaboration with hardware development teams.
+ Familarity with DSP algorithm design and simulation using various tools (Python/Numpy/SciPy/MATLAB)
+ Previous experience in mentoring or leading technical teams.
