Senior Financial Deduction Expert, AVSC FD Experts Team

The Financial Deduction Vendor Consultant Program (FD VCP) works with Amazon AVS Retail Vendors and internal stakeholders who are facing supply chain defects that lead to financial deductions. The service provides a dedicated support aimed to identify and sustainably resolve the defects causing financial deductions. We are seeking a Financial Deductions (FD) Expert to join our team. The FD Expert is a strategic role that combines financial analysis, vendor management, and process optimization responsibilities. This professional manages a portfolio of companies within the VCP Evergreen program, focusing on improving financial metrics such as ISR, PPV, and Chargebacks through data-driven analysis and proactive vendor engagement. They serve as an essential bridge between vendors and internal stakeholders, conducting deep-dive analyses of financial data, leading vendor-facing Kaizen sessions, and implementing improvement plans while maintaining strong relationships with all parties involved. The role demands expertise in financial operations, data analysis, and stakeholder management, as they work to optimize processes, develop automation initiatives, and provide mentorship to team members. Through their comprehensive understanding of financial deductions and vendor operations, they enhance vendor experience (VX) while ensuring operational excellence and driving continuous improvement across the organization. Key job responsibilities Business Impact Manage and optimize the FD VCP program vendor portfolio, focusing on key performance metrics such as ISR, PPV, and Chargebacks. Implement preventive measures and action plans to drive vendor performance while enhancing overall vendor experience. Streamline interactions between vendors and internal teams to improve efficiency and support quality. Dive Deep, Data Analysis & Reporting Conduct comprehensive financial data analysis to identify deduction patterns and root causes through thorough auditing and utilization of internal systems. Prepare and distribute detailed reports to all levels of stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of findings and insights. Stakeholder Communication Cultivate strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of vendor financial deduction metrics and activities. Lead Kaizen sessions, manage cross-functional communications, and handle escalations while providing regular updates to vendors and senior management. Represent the team in project reviews and operational meetings, delivering data-driven presentations and supporting internal teams in financial metric performance. Operations & Process Excellence Independently execute and optimize financial deductions processes while identifying and implementing tactical solutions for operational challenges. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and actively participate in Correction of Error (COE) processes. Support quality audits and spearhead efficiency improvements across operations. Team Support Provide mentorship and training to new team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Support talent acquisition efforts and manage resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure optimal team performance and efficiency. Process Improvement & Innovation Design and implement small-scale automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive productivity improvements. Conduct systematic analysis to identify upstream issues and develop process improvements aligned with organizational goals. Support the launch of new programs, categories, and features to foster innovation and growth. Basic Qualifications - Baccalaureate diploma mandatory - 5+ year's experience in financial operations, vendor/account/catalog management, buying/sourcing/sales, product management, supply chain - Independent user of English (B2) - Knowledge of advanced Excel - Experience in effectively managing ongoing stakeholder relationships - Experience using data to influence business decisions - Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Fast learner and ability to deal with ambiguity Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field • Master's degree in relevant field • Leadership and mentoring capabilities • Knowledge of vendor management processes • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and automation • Project management experience Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
