About the Role

Workday is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Global Revenue Finance team in a role passionate about financial performance analysis and reporting. We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented self-starter that leverages data to influence decision making, and collaborates to drive optimal outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and design key financial processes related to close, forecast and annual planning used to support Global Revenue organization.Build effective partnerships across the Workday Finance organization.Set timelines for all monthly, quarterly and annual financial processes for the GR Finance team, to ensure standardization as well as simplification across the team.Provide qualitative financial analysis around key performance indicators and develop insights on business performance based on the interpretation of financial results.Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and KPI metrics packages. Communicate variances to plan/budget to business partners and other critical team members. Analyze business results providing advice on the financial impact of operating decisions.Support the annual strategic planning process, including the evaluation of key metrics and models.Own regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to provide significant metrics and insights.Participate in cross-functional efforts to continuously improve data quality and establish rigor in measuring and monitoring the business.

About You

We are a lean but mighty finance team looking for a skilled collaborator who can build trusted partnerships at every level of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven understanding of financial planning, financial modeling skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills. In addition, we are looking for a motivated self-starter who can roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a Finance, Accounting, Consulting, or related business function.Bachelor's degree in a business function such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related fields.It is essential to be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Other Qualifications:

Excellent organization, time management, and communication (written and verbal) skills, in both required languages.Finance system proficiency. Experience with Workday Adaptive Insights or similar financial planning tool preferred.High proficiency with MS Excel (Google Sheets) and PowerPoint (Google Slides). Power Query experience or similar data management tools is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to deliver and think ahead.Proven ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.Experience building out FP&A close and reporting processes.Strong business sense with ability to apply financial data to help develop insights to business performance.Maturity to drive things forward and be a proactive contributor.Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment.Finance or Accounting experience in the software or SAAS industry preferred.
