Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Partnerships team, who will partner with our Finance, Accounting, and Legal Leadership Teams to drive business results, evaluate strategic investment opportunities, interface with other business, operations, and senior finance leaders, and develop business performance reporting and analytics!  This candidate will need to be a detail-oriented self-starter with experience working in an ambiguous environment, including rolling up their sleeves to complete complex business analyses and operating at depth. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for supporting the corporate budgeting, forecasting, and initiative prioritization, while also innovating to refine financial models and strategic goals to incorporate new learnings and new data.

What You'll Do:

Partner with the Finance, Accounting, and Legal Leadership Teams to develop business and finance plans, determine key input and output metrics, and support the business in creating profitability analyses and strategic analyses to evaluate key investments.Assist with the preparation and consolidation of the Finance, Accounting, and Legal budgets, forecast, and long-term outlook, including identifying and quantifying the risks and opportunities faced by the business.Lead all aspects of month-end close process and run/track financial performance against KPI’s, seasonal financial plans, and annual budget.Support periodic financial business reviews, including reviewing results vs. plan, forecasting for management meetings, creating future output guidance to leadership, and establishing plans with c-suite to address disconnects between actuals and plan.Support creation of financial models (monthly forecasting, NPV, ROI, payback, etc.) and maintain and improve existing financial models and supporting schedules monthly, driving improvements to budgeting and forecasting accuracy.Conduct complex ad-hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analyses, to drive decision-making for Finance, Accounting, and Legal initiatives.Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners (e.g. Procurement, HR, TA, etc.) to enhance forecasting accuracy and to improve the budgeting and forecasting processes.Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion and Tableau.

What You'll Need:

BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics3+ years of related experienceStrategy consulting firm experience (BCG, Bain, McKinsey) a plus!Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, and outstanding attention to detailExperience in budgeting, forecasting, key performance indicators, and financial analysisStrong data visualization skills (Excel, Tableau, etc.)Results-oriented mentality, highly upbeat, multifaceted individual with hands-on mentalityAbility to drill down to the details, and step back to understand the big pictureAmbitious mindset – ability to operate and drive results as a self-starterDemonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills – ability to distill and convey sophisticated information messages clearly and succinctlyUnderstanding of GAAP, financial statements, and financial modelingPosition may require travel
