**The Opportunity**
We are recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in our Plymouth, MN location with the Electrophysiology Medical Devices team. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
In this role, you will be responsible for the reporting of results on a monthly basis, as well as for budget cycles, and for any ad hoc analysis requested from leadership. You will also be responsible for preparing financial presentation content for executive meetings, participate in ad hoc projects or assignments, and support month end close and internal and external audits by preparing and providing relevant reports and analysis.
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Provides cost planning, analysis and reporting to management for assigned manufacturing site, which likely includes setting production cost standards for labor and material, maintaining and updating standard cost files, partnering with manufacturing managers to develop and track budgets, updating forecasts, providing variance analysis and providing product cost analysis.
+ Provides timely and accurate reporting to management leveraging your knowledge of the finance systems and your familiarity with the business operations.
+ Based on reporting and analysis, makes recommendations to finance management to save costs, scale for the future and maintain data accuracy. This may include making recommendations related to purchase price, scrap, inventory cycle counts, work order volume, etc.
+ Provides month end close support and reporting to finance department leadership
+ Serves as finance subject expert for assigned manufacturing entity and leads special projects as assigned by finance management
+ Execute reporting based on pre-established schedules for monthly and quarterly corporate reporting and external & internal audits
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
+ 4+ years of experience performing month-end close activities, financial and variance analysis, and/or forecasting in a manufacturing environment
+ Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
+ Demonstrated experience working with financial system applications
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong attention to detail
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ MBA, CPA or CMA preferred
+ Working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase and/or SAP
+ Ability to work effectively and with flexibility under uncertainty and changing priorities

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
