For best results, use Google Chrome to view this page.Directly responsible for the analysis and projection for the production variance, costing process, support for the budget expenses for Production Operations, Supply Chain, Aging, Warehousing located in Panama, Processing, Bottling, and Distribution Operations for the brand. This role provides financial analysis and decision support to the Finance Director, and to the Louisville-based corporate finance group when needed.Job Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership and Analysis (35%)
● Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closing functions and related analysis of production cost and variance from standard cost.
● Provide and interpret analysis to the supervisor, management team and Global Production Finance as needed.
● Support the annual process to develop the operational budget of the company in all stages of the production. This involves using SAP knowledge of reports, historical data, comparison of the changes, preparing deep analysis of the changes YoY.
● Follow up on the preparation, updating and analysis of reports required for Financial and Tax teams, such as, Production Expenses, Inventories, Production Cost, Sales Status, payroll, labor expenses, Intercompany Profit, Income tax declaration and transfer pricing policy.
● Monitor monthly spending G&A in relation to the budgets and alert operations and management of budget variances.
Evaluate and improve financial and control processes in line with the policies and procedures of the company.
Controlling, Accounting and Compliance (40%)
● Support periodic general ledger closing cycle and subsequent preparation of financial statements and related analyses to accurately reflect business activity based on US generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP).
Report findings regarding all inventory adjustments, including cycle counts. Identify and monitor slow moving and obsolete inventory, coordinate adjustments with logistics/materials management. Account reconciliations.
● Monitors and reports on monthly capital expenditure, timely closure of capital projects and proper classification of resulting fixed assets through a solid partnership with the project teams.
Monitors and ensures the compliance process of the 23 Law, according to the local laws and regulations, and the policies and procedures of the company.
Operational Partnership (25%)
● Provides financial leadership in the Continuous Improvement process supporting TPM team deployment.
● Support on the accuracy and integrity of all financial records, financial statements, as well as management reports (KPIs).
● Participates on project teams to drive operational efficiencies and process improvements. Quantification of the benefits of these initiatives through OEE calculation, production rates, or other financial and cost metrics.
Required Experience & Education:
Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related
Experience: 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated proficiency in applying US GAAP principles.
Job Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Ability to build productive relationships and partnerships and influence others. Excellent business planning and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft office (advanced excel) and Google software. Comfortable with complex data sources and understand the importance of data integrity.
Demonstrated proficiency with SAP-ERP software (or a similar ERP system) Demonstrated proficiency in English
