Pay Rate: $45 Location: Toronto ON Job Type: Contract Our client, a major bank, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Insurance Finance team for a 1-year contract. This role provides critical month-end support during the implementation of and ERP, focusing on core financial close activities and reconciliation across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will bring strong insurance industry experience, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to work across systems in a complex financial environment.

This role is hybrid - 2 days a week in office. 

Key Responsibilities: Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries. Conduct detailed balance sheet and interface reconciliations across multiple systems and platforms. Analyze and resolve discrepancies between systems, ensuring financial integrity. Support financial reporting processes for the insurance division in compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Prepare and deliver clear and concise financial presentations for senior management. Collaborate with stakeholders in finance, technology, and operations to streamline workflows and improve system interfaces. Assist in ad hoc project work and process improvements as needed
Qualifications: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in financial services or insurance. Proven experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations. Strong working knowledge of Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data manipulation. Experience working across multiple systems/platforms with a focus on reconciliation and data integrity. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly. CPA designation (or in progress) preferred.
