We currently operate six high-tech greenhouse farms, with three new regional greenhouses this year. BrightFarms' fresh lettuce options, from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits, are available in more than 4,500 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest.
We’re looking for a Strategic Finance Senior Associate to help scale our financial operations, build robust reporting and forecasting tools, and delivery strategic analyses that shape the company’s future. The role will report to the Senior Finance Manager and work closely with the Director of FP&A and CFO in crafting and executing on BrightFarm’s financial strategy and operations.
Specifically, you will:
Create reporting and forecasting for monthly reviews and board materialsLead the annual budgeting processPartner with Accounting during month-end close, to ensure accurate billing & scalable invoicing operations Conduct robust variance analysesProvide clear and concise budgeting and tracking to senior managementAlign financial goals with broader business strategy to drive long-term growth and profitabilityBuild financial models for current and future greenhouses, including labor planning, yield analysis and operating costs including travel, rent, marketing and technologyPartner cross-functionally across Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Technology and People & CultureThe ideal candidate:
3+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, equity research, private equity, hedge fund, investment banking, corporate finance, or related roleStrong foundational knowledge of corporate accounting (e.g. cash vs accrual, etc.)Proven ability to build & interpret 3-statement financial modelsHigh proficiency in Excel; strong comfort with large datasets and financial modelingExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to collaborate across teams demonstrating strong problem-solving & critical thinking skillsFirst-principles learner: You approach problems by questioning assumptions and relying on data to find the right solution, you learn fast and go deepPreferred qualifications:
