We will also consider the candidate to sit at one of these other J&J locations: Raynham, MA; Raritan, NJ; Warsaw, IN or West Chester, PA. As a member of the **Joints Reconstruction Finance** Team, the senior analyst provides financial leadership, support, and analytics to the **Joints Recon Global Strategic Marketing (GSM) and Research and Development (R&D)** organizations to help shape and support a growing business. This role is responsible for preparing financial analysis and valuation models, identifying solutions and opportunities for the business aligned with the business strategy, and influencing business partners with fact-based financial data. This individual must demonstrate business acumen through insights and business knowledge. **Key responsibilities include:** + Partner closely with the **WW** **VP Research & Development** and his/her team to build and track a comprehensive Research & Development plan that is aligned with and achieves organization objectives, ensuring priority programs are appropriately funded, and participate in portfolio prioritization exercises and analysis as part of the cross-functional Portfolio Leadership Team (PLT) + Partner with **Global Franchise** teams to develop financial valuations models and other factual analysis in support of new product introductions, external licensing, and distribution agreements. Succinctly communicate financial analysis, risks, and opportunities to upper management. + Prepare **annual business plan** for **Strategic marketing and R&D** budgets, forecast updates, and the latest thinking. Communicate potential risks for meeting expected results and partner with business leaders to propose recommendations and solutions. + Monthly **worldwide sales** reporting and related commentary, quarterly Investor Relations reporting, and various other ad-hoc analytics. + Perform **month end close** responsibilities including, preparation of journal entries and accruals, providing commentary on actual versus budgeted results, headcount & capital reporting, etc. + Ensure **compliance** with Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP requirements. **Qualifications:** + A minimum degree of a bachelor’s is required, preferably with a major in Finance or Accounting. + An MBA, CPA or CMA is preferred. + A minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or related business experience is required. + Experience in MedTech, Pharmaceutical, Consumer goods or Public Accounting is preferred. + Self-starter and strategic problem solver with proven abilities to implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic goals, and customer needs is required. + The ability to utilize detailed financial analyses and high-level pattern recognition to drive performance is required. + The ability to effectively collaborate in cross-functional environments and build support across all levels of the organization is required. + A strong level of ownership and seeking for meeting / exceeding expectations is required. + The ability to drive rapid, but fact-based decision-making with imperfect data is required. + The ability to balance multiple variables / levers, and toggle approach within defined parameters based on customer needs and business objectives is required. + Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills are required. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
