What you'll be doing
As a Senior Financial Analyst, Reporting in our Private Wealth line of business, you are responsible for the preparation, interpretation and approval of reports presenting operating results and other performance information. You will apply comprehensive knowledge and skills to prepare consolidated daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and financial reports and analysis, ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place. You will exercise independent judgement within defined procedures, liaising with business heads on accounting information requirements and monitoring business unit performance. In addition, you will apply professional analytical skills to interpret changes in accounting standards and develop, enhance or implement appropriate changes.

AUM and Cash Flow ReportingUpdate Senior Management on a weekly basis on Firm Cash Flow activity.
Build and provide quarterly detailed AUM/Flow schedules for the business.
Serve as backup support for monthly AUM/Cash Flow reporting to Senior Management/Accounting/Finance.
Work with Marketing to provide information for RFPs, surveys, client retention, and Relationship Manager award submissions.
Formulaic CompensationProvide critical support on monthly basis for compensation models (both quarterly and annually).
These models are very detailed and require attention to detail and accuracy.
Ad-Hoc SupportProvide strategic business analysis for Senior Management (i.e., Growth Strategies, RM/BDP Growth analysis, etc.) including building financial models.
Provide analysis regarding revenues/compensation/assets/cash flows/etc.
Responsible for invoice coding/tracking/payment for Mutual Funds, Referral Programs (Schwab/Fidelity), and numerous miscellaneous vendors.
Work with vendors and AP on any outstanding invoice/overdue issues.
Work with Finance (FP&A/Accounting) to help answer miscellaneous questions for reporting (i.e., Client Accounts, Revenues, AUM/Flows, etc.).
Who you are
You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field.
You have 4+ years of related experience in the financial services industry.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our employee’s needs; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave, and Vacation), Holidays, and 401(k), in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members.
Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
