OBJECTIVES:
Independently manages financial planning, forecasting, NPV evaluations for TAU to guide decision making on asset development across the Phase 1 – 3 assets.Serves as active member of TAU management/project teams and provides strategic thinking and consultation to support decision making spanning Research and Development.ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Operates as finance business partner for designated /TAU project portfolio ; helps build a new reporting /communication package for this portfolioAccountable for managing all business function/project portfolio financial planning, analysis and reporting.Active member of management team/project team(s) supporting decision making with significance broadly for the team/business.Support the Accounting team on monthly/quarterly closes, tasks including calculation of monthly accruals and preparation of journal entriesOperates as finance business partner for designated function/TAU project portfolioAccountable for managing all business function/project portfolio financial planning, analysis and reporting.Active member of function management team/project team(s) supporting decision making with significance broadly for the team/business.Develop and maintain performance tracking and analysis for external collaborations.Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degreeMinimum of 3 years of experience in bio tech or pharma preferredPrevious budgeting/planning/monthly variance analysis experience.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact in previous position(s).Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Understanding of methods, tools and concepts to prepare forecasts, ad hoc analyses.Financial planning/reporting systems experience (e.g. Excel, Enrich, Meridian, BREP, MDM, CDM).Skills:
Analytical – Ability to analyze monthly financial results and NPV outputs and to understand how to use this information to drive projects that will impact the businessCollaboration- key is working with TAU FBPs and Research FBPs to coordinate information, share ideasTeamwork – ability to work effectively in and foster a team environment.Communication – Excellent oral, written, and presentation communications skills neededFlexibility- Ability to set priorities and meet specific deadlines in a changing environment, ability to be flexible, accommodating, and to deal with change effectively.This position is currently classified as “ hybrid” in accordance with Takeda’s Hybrid and Remote Work policy.

$86,500.00 - $135,960.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
