Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Accounting Analyst for Payroll Tax and Processing is responsible for supporting all SAP Payroll tax, garnishment, and payroll processing activities including but not limited to tax jurisdiction setups, performing routine audits and preparing reports, assisting with the overpayment process and year-end processes, setup of garnishments with vendor, and researching/resolving all payroll tax related customer/employee issues, end to end on-cycle and off-cycle process, replacements, voids, and on demand payments. This position will work closely with the Operations Team to collaborate, identify, and resolve inefficiencies.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:
+ Research and resolve all HRC inquiry tickets for Garnishments
+ Open, scan, and upload legal documents
+ Assist with the garnishment process
+ Audit Garnishments setup by vendor
+ Run garnishment reports through ADP Smart Compliance
+ Process Refunds
+ RSU and Fidelity Deposits
+ Audit W-4s quarterly
+ Work with ODM to archive garnishment/deduction documents.
+ Assist Payroll Tax team at quarter and year-end
+ Prepare and submit all local and state jurisdictions filings using ADP Smart Compliance. This includes monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Payroll Tax/Garnishment/Processing Leader
+ Process On-Cyle and Off-Cycle payroll in SAP for multiple NBCU business entities both union and non-union and ensure all processes are completed timely and accurately.
+ Proactively communicate and collaborate with process partners to ensure all data inputs are received for payroll processing.
+ Process 221 adjustments in SAP.
+ Process annual union payouts accurately and timely per union agreements.
+ Holiday Payouts
+ Vacation to Pension Processing
+ PTO Payouts
+ Partner with the Operations team regarding and Union issues related to Pension, Health, and Welfare including loading and processing adjustments.
+ Research and resolve processing issues and partner with IT support as needed.
+ Replacement Checks
+ Fraud Claim Research
+ Pay Slip inquiries and explanation
+ Maintain current knowledge of Multistate and Federal guidelines with a heavy emphasis on CA pay rules and the way in which various payroll items are to be processed, including but not limited processing final pay state terminations.
+ Review payroll simulation and audit report to ensure payroll efficiency and accuracy.
+ Manage payroll processing calendar and deadlines.
+ Ensure that payroll payments are successfully disbursed (check and ACH).
+ Ensure any live checks are printed, sealed, and mailed accordingly for any on-cycle or off-cycle payroll
+ UAT Participation to test any system upgrades or break fixes before they go to the production database to ensure everything is working properly.
+ Provide timely support and respond to questions from other departments.
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws,
+ Advanced level competency with Microsoft business programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint, Visio, etc.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent
+ 2-5 years’ of experience working within payroll and providing support for payroll/payroll tax processing, internal/external audits, issue resolution, garnishments, and research of payroll tax issues.
+ Experience working with ADP Smart Compliance.
+ Experience working with SAP Payroll Module.
+ Certified Payroll Professional designation a plus
