Amazon Japan is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Retail (e-commerce) business. “Finance” in Amazon has similarities to 経営企画室・経営戦略本部 in Japanese companies in which you own a wide variety of planning and analysis responsibilities. This role will be a key member of the Store Finance function for the Amazon.co.jp e-commerce business and will support the senior executives in managing business performance, with a keen focus on our customers.

The Sr Financial Analyst will lead HC/Opex planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, as well as country-level financial analyses. It is a unique opportunity with a broad scope to partner with senior leadership, own and implement core financial management processes, and drive business improvement. This person will be comfortable with building excel based models, diving into details, and process simplification through automation. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide analytical support for executive decision-making, think strategically, and manage projects with multiple stakeholders.

• Drive the core financial processes for the business including HC/Opex Investment evaluation framework, measurement and Controllership
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual HC/Opex review process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Drive process automation to streamline current processes and enhance financial controllership
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, highlighting key insights and recommendations for leadership
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
