Withing this dynamic environment, the GPO LH Team – IO Collaboration and LH Accounting Guidance (RIA 1.5.3) is responsible for the interface to the international Life and Health accounting departments, providing accounting support and holding an oversight function for the local technical accounting processes.
We are seeking for a qualified and dedicated professional to strengthen our team. As Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Accountant IFRS 17 you can look forward to a broad and challenging range of responsibilities with many opportunities for your development. You will act as main contact for the local accounting departments and will be responsible, supporting and providing guidance for IFRS 17 towards local accounting departments (IO) and act as a main contact within the IFRS 17 closing process.
Within our hybrid working model you will report to your Head of Section within our Global Life Accounting Department.
The position can be filled as Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Accountant dependent on your level of experience and seniority.
Your job
Establishing close ties with the IO and providing high quality accounting supportCoordinating the accounting part of the IFRS 17 closing process within the LH segment in close collaboration with the local accounting departments.You act as a main contact for all questions regarding IFRS 17 and as an interface towards other central and valuation departments.You dig deep into IFRS 17/SAP- FPSL results, perform in depth analysis and dedicated quality assurance steps and support adjustment bookings. Development, enhancement and enforcement of the LH accounting work instruction framework, including quality assurance (QA Essentials) framework regarding IFRS 17Fostering strong team relationships by being approachable and supportive, effectively delegating tasks, and assisting the team with day-to-day activities to ensure a collaborative and productive work environment.
Your profile
University degree in a quantitative field; minimum of three years of professional experience in the finance departmentDeep accounting knowledge within the IFRS 17 accounting standardSAP-FPSL knowledge is a plusVery good command of written and spoken EnglishDistinct willingness for change and overcoming obstacles with high team spirit and enthusiasmExcellent analytical skills, good problem-solving abilities and conceptual skills combined with an ability to explain complex interrelationships in an understandable way
