The Record to Report (R2R) Department is a global organization of over 650 experienced finance professionals working together to deliver financial services and solutions for Roche across the EMEA region. Our services cover financial management, period-end closing, capital and lease accounting, credit and receivables, manufacturing finance, and divisional reporting, ensuring compliance for 263 reporting entities in 96 countries with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and providing assurance of financial integrity.
The opportunity:
As a Senior Financial Accountant specializing in Fixed Assets, you will perform day-to-day and closing activities according to predefined deadlines with full ownership of their tasks and in compliance with the Process Documentations of the respective business sub-process. You will closely collaborate and align on priorities with the Country Chief Accountant and propose process and system improvements.
In this position you will focus on:
Performing accurate and timely financial tasks, including fixed asset and CAPEX accounting, leased asset reconciliation, consolidation reporting, system reconciliations, audit preparation, and participation in audits.
Collaborating across functions and countries to enhance teamwork, support colleagues, manage communications with Roche Affiliates, and coordinate with non-financial teams and third parties.
Aligning closely with the Country Chief Accountant to set priorities and suggest process and system improvements.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Local Finance Team and Roche-Budapest.
Flexibly handling various assignments, including cross-functional and cross-geographic tasks as business needs evolve.
Who you are:

University degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting related discipline
2-4 years of experience in a relevant position
Strong understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting, good to have: SAP FA module, IAS16 and IFRS16 knowledge
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Outstanding customer orientation and service focus
Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude
Proficiency in English
