Senior Financial Accountant

Job Responsibilities: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate. Supervise the monthly general ledger close process, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions in compliance with IFRS, loan agreements, and Client’s accounting policies. Review complex journal entries, accruals, and provisions. Review journals, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for quality and compliance. Consolidate financial results across business units and prepare group-level reports. Ensure timely resolution of accounting issues and clearing of open items. Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements. Contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts for assigned legal entities. Team Management & Supervision. Qualification and Skills Requirements: Chartered Accountant CA (SA) or equivalent professional qualification 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting Experience leading month-end close and preparing consolidated financial statements Must have a high degree of skill in Business Computing Applications such as Word Processors, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint Enterprise Resource Planning applications (Maximo/SAP or equivalent). Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP). Knowledge SPVs within a multinational business environment. Ability to act independently to prioritize, initiate, resolve and complete actions required to take the business forward to meet goals. Fluent in English and excellent communication skills, capability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
