Senior Finance Manager - Laboratory Equipment Services
**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Office **Job Description** This position reports directly to the VP Finance, Instruments and Enterprise Services Division (IES). This position will be responsible for a full P&L and business partnership with the LE Services General Manager. This position offers the right candidate an influential seat at the table of a growing and multidimensional business with potential for future career growth and development! Key Duties and Responsibilities: Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Close & Process Take ownership for leading all related activities for financial close Analyze Business Unit level financial data, quickly and efficiently understand key variances that will impact the ability of the business to hit Quarterly Financial performance targets. Collaborate with Shared Services and Factories to develop RAIL process, ensuring consistent reporting and resolving common issues. Connect key findings to upcoming quarters, optimally communicate to LE and IES Division LT members. Track record of consolidating financial results from multiple ERP platforms for the purpose of FP&A activities Strong business partnering and ability to work across the organization Establish business partnerships with members of the LE and LE Services Leadership Teams; Position matrix reports to Sr. Director, LE Services Business Improve Services Connected program return on investment and establish AR field Have the ability to “Tell the story”, communicate well and make validated judgments. Partner with service leaders to craft and implement service programs to drive growth and efficiency. Assist with the development of tactical execution plans, timely performance dashboards and participate with the services leadership team to implement recommendations for improved performance. Provide solid business understanding through analysis Provide comprehensive functional finance support to enable delivery of services key cost efficiency and revenue expansion initiatives. Partner with the global services organization to develop and deploy meaningful financial reporting processes and efficiency tools (metrics) to drive improved decision-making. Examples include the following: Monthly expense reporting, approval and management review to facilitate robust cost control / governance (at the field and customer service levels at all locations). Partner with Services leaders to drive accountability passionate about delivering budget commitments. General Ledger expense account governance and control to ensure CMR reporting accuracy / consistency across global service organizations. Drive Commercial growth through market, pipeline and backlog analytics in partnership with Marketing Monthly Global LE Services scorecards, including variance commentary to AOP, prior year and prior quarter. Assist sites with the management of deferred revenue on service contracts, working capital, etc. Drive process and data improvement projects (eg Project Gold) Talent Leadership and Development Attract, develop and retain a distributed team of (2) both NA and EMEA based. Education and Experience: 5-10 years of dynamic finance experience supporting a diverse global manufacturer and service provider (previous services organization experience strongly preferred). Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High-energy self-starter with strong drive for results. Shown passion for knowing and meeting customer requirements. Roll-up sleeves approach. Dynamic operationally oriented finance professional with a consultative and trusted business partner philosophy. Consistent track record of collaborating with cross-functional management to drive cost and productivity/efficiency improvements. Demonstrated functional knowledge and strong technical capability (financial analysis, accounting / control and business process re-engineering). Strong business and strategic savvy. Ability to move beyond the numbers to understand the operational and strategic implications of business decisions while maintaining a strong grasp of the details. Continually identifies and pursues opportunities to improve processes (leads and runs systemic change efforts). Effective communicator that can influence a matrix organization at varying leadership levels (provides information clearly and concisely). Ability to present compelling, concise evidence to support positions. Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills. Capable of developing high levels of credibility and forging proven and positive professional relationships (subordinates, peers, and upper management); strong communication skills. PLN/SAP/CMR experience is crucial. Preferred / proficiency in BAAN, BoE, MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Other Requirements: 20% international and domestic travel.
