The Senior Finance Manager Japan for our DPS Japan organization will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our regional operations while leading a team of finance and accounting professionals. The incumbent will be responsible for financial strategy, reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Dotted report: Senior Director, Segment Controlling DPS (Located in Denmark)
2. Key Responsibilities
Finance
Develop and implement financial strategies to support regional business goals and objectives including forecasting process
Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights to senior management through accurate and timely production of financial reports
Manage the regional budgeting process and monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts
Serve as first point of contact for finance related questions from Corporate Finance, CoE and other central finance centers
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency and provide input to continuous improvement towards Global Process Owners in CoE
Tax and Compliance
Identify and mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with internal controls
Ensure regional compliance with tax and statutory regulations and serve as contact person for tax & statutory compliance partner (Ernst & Young) for matters of the entity/ies
Collaborate with regional and corporate stakeholders, providing financial guidance and analysis
Serve as contact person for shared service center (Capgemini) for accounting related matters of the entity/ies
Work with the legal team to prepare and register minutes of board of directors’ meetings and shareholder meetings
People Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of diverse finance professionals, fostering their growth and development including all standard employee life cycle processes
Experience in navigating a global stakeholder network, representing the legal requirements of DPS Japan Finance as well as contributing to Group processes and procedures

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
A bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field)
10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership roles
Experience in people management and diverse team leadership
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting
Experience in manufacturing cost accounting
Familiarity with national tax measures and corporate tax calculations
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel, including Power BI, HFM, and SAP
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Professional accounting certification relevant to Japan is preferred
Knowledge of Japanese GAAP (J-GAAP) and applicable regulations
Fluent communication skills in both English and Japanese
